Certification Requirements (interim till 31 Dec 2023)

These requirements are for interim certification whilst the AKR transitions to a more comprehensive model commencing in 2024.  It is recommended that the handbook is referred to in order to understand the functional difference between Instructors and Coaches.

AKR members seeking certification under this interim model can submit evidence of requirements (see below) using the SUBMIT APPLICATION button in the top right corner of the page.  The ICO has been designed for consistency across the Arts, and also recognising that many of the roles will have the same baseline requirements (eg first aid).  Therefore a submission for certification can be for a singular certification (function / art) or for several combined.
